This elegant 19th-century estate is a unique setting for your celebration, special event, or business meeting. The property is conveniently located in downtown New Bedford and includes an 1834 Greek Revival mansion and one acre of surrounding gardens.
The historic house accommodates smaller events on a year-round schedule. The tent-covered terrace and gardens accommodate all sizes of celebrations from May through October. The RJD has been host to family reunions, birthday and anniversary parties, quinceañeras, showers, annual meetings, networking events, and more.
Site amenities include a tent, chairs, tables, indoor kitchen facilities for caterers, three restrooms on the terrace level and one restroom on the museum’s first floor. For an additional fee, a sound system, tent heaters, a TV, and a podium may be provided. Catering must be arranged for by the renter.
